Camp NaNoWriMo 2017 – Day 11

No, I totally didn’t almost forget to write this post, what are you talking about? I’m a bit ahead of schedule, maybe? According to the little chart I have, I just need 984 words per day for the rest of the month to hit 50k. So that sounds about right.

Today I edited an Asherah chapter. I got lost in it. Apparently, I get lost at this point every time because I have notes saying I got lost when I read it last. (The good kind of lost.) It’s when I hit these chapters that I really enjoy reading it over again, reliving these lives. Time for bed, y’all have a good night!

Camp NaNoWriMo 2017 – Day 10

Why hello there lovely people. Can’t believe it’s April 10th already. Feels like just yesterday it was January!

Day 10 Words: 3455

Let’s see. I worked on two chapters today. A Jason and a Lilith. Jason is another of my favorites. Who am I kidding, I love all my characters in a way. Except for Lilith. I have a hard time connecting to her with the exception of when I’m in a bad mood. When I’m in a bad mood I could write thousands of words from her.

So, I guess when I go over her chapters again, I need to get real angry first?

My favorite little paragraph(ish) from writing today.

Rain lasted longer inside the forest than out. At least that was how it had always seemed to Jason, and his time in this patch of woods had done nothing to change that. Raindrops pattered on the tarp spread over his head, making sure he knew it was still raining, in case he had somehow forgotten. He peeked through the opening in his make-shift tent. The clearing, bright and free of rain, beckoned him.He grunted and turned away. The dark wetness suited his mood better.

Camp NaNoWriMo 2017 – Day 6

Hello, hello! So far so good on the quick little entries to keep me accountable. I’ve finished a little earlier than yesterday which is good!

Day 6 words – 2,295

Total words – 23,709

No little insights today. It was an Asherah chapter. Some things did need to be restructured, and I think I’m getting a better hand at adding ‘flavors’ to the narration that make it more noticeable who the PoV is for that chapter, instead of relying on their name being listed somewhere.
