Update to Link for Paperback

Hey everyone, slight update. I’ve now sold 31 (!!) copies! (That’s split between ebook and paperback.) Out of Darkness also now has a slightly different size and a slightly different cover. What does that mean for you? Well, now it has a different link as well.

What does it mean for me? Well, it has the cover design I wanted in the first place but couldn’t get to work until, of course, I published the previous version.

What does it mean for you? Well, if you’re sharing my link around you’ll have to change what you’re giving out. (And why wouldn’t you be sharing it :P) If you donated to my gofundme I will be sending you the physical copy (if I owe you one) in the next couple weeks. It will be the new version, not the one that I’d linked previously.

It’ll take a few days to completely show up under my author profile, so it’s only the direct link for now.

In Out of Light news, we’re nearing 10k on the rewrite. So far there’s been a lot of extra junk removed that is now covered in Out of Darkness, and a lot of fixes for a character that didn’t quite exist when Out of Light was first written. (But that’s spoilers, shh.)

I am not falling into the trap I did last time and saying “I am for X date” to be finished. But if I were I’d aim for next year around this time.

Update? Update!

Hello dear readers.

 

Here is an update. I got my book back from the editor. Fixed all 1400 revisions and slapped it back in createspace. Soon I will hit publish 😮

Mini update and ?!?! Cover reveal?

The past two weeks I’ve cut, rearranged, unrearranged and re-rearranged until I’ve lost 4k words, and in my growing excitement decided it was a good time to do a cover reveal.

Do I know what I’m doing? Heck no. Am I gonna do it anyway? Heck yes.

I’m dangerously close to declaring myself capital D done, and felt this was a good time to share! As a side note, before you see the good bits, I want to mention that formatting, making page numbers, and making chapter headers is infuriating. Oh, also comma splices are my number one enemy.

I bought it from this designer!   (I adore their style, and will likely use them for book two as well!)

Yesterday I purchased a  cover for Out of Darkness! I think it’s really pretty and perfect and whatnot. Now I just have to finish with my editing so I can use it and publish!

I’m over halfway through another read through, I printed out 2 copies (thanks, office depot) and sent one to my mom. Now she’s gonna hopefully be a helpful beta reader for me! There have been fewer and fewer changes each read through, so either I’ve become so used to my story that I can’t see what I need to fix, or (hopefully) it’s nearly capital F finished for real this time.

Of course, now I’m panicking because that means I need to think of words to go on the back of the book, finish the words inside the book, publish it, tell people I published it. Be right back, I think I’m going to faint.
