Still working on editing. I’m self-editing while saving up money for an actual editor. That’s the whole update. Have a good weekend.

hi readers.
Out of Darkness is on sale this week, in case you wanted to know that. Here’s a nifty link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079PSMDJR We’ll call it the “Tweaked Cover Sale” or something like that. Sounds legit. Only the eBook version because that’s just how it rolls I guess.
That’s the whole post, I didn’t think of anything else to write while I was typing that. So here is a picture of some kittens I wish existed.
Well, obviously they exist, just not in those colors.
Okay, well that’s not quite right. It’s not new so much as tweaked a bit. And the paperback now has a proper spine and back cover! But “new cover” is easier to say than “Slightly different cover for Out of Darkness that now also includes a back cover and spine.”
I got the proof copy yesterday, and even with the huge “Not for Resale” across the front it’s still pretty. That’s the entire post, I don’t have any other updates or things to say.
That’s an awfully vague title, but I didn’t feel like putting “Thinks I’ve Learned Since I Hit Publish on Out of Darkness Three Months Ago.” because that seemed absurd.
Anyway, I’ve realized a couple things over the past few months, that will help (me) a whole heck of a lot when I go to publish Out of Light. Not the writing part, who even cares about that. (Kidding.)
Here is a small, unordered list of things that I’ve realized the past couple days.
I had more, but I got distracted. I really need to start writing these away from the main computer.
Till next time!
Note to self: Proofread everything.
PS: I have no updates on Out of Light, just been editing it up. Gonna start putting it up on Scribophile soon for initial fixes. Then I have to find a beta reader again I guess. Oh, also I’ve sold over 60 copies of Out of Darkness.
(Yes, that number is 61.)
The past two weeks I’ve cut, rearranged, unrearranged and re-rearranged until I’ve lost 4k words, and in my growing excitement decided it was a good time to do a cover reveal.
Do I know what I’m doing? Heck no. Am I gonna do it anyway? Heck yes.
I’m dangerously close to declaring myself capital D done, and felt this was a good time to share! As a side note, before you see the good bits, I want to mention that formatting, making page numbers, and making chapter headers is infuriating. Oh, also comma splices are my number one enemy.
I bought it from this designer! (I adore their style, and will likely use them for book two as well!)
