Out of Light – Chapter 1 (Updated)

Chapter One – Nathalie

“Help me,” a ragged voice called.

Nathalie skidded to a halt, slipping on a patch of damp leaves. The beacons in her satchel shifted, sending out a soft clink of crystal against crystal as she caught herself on a low-hanging branch. “Hello?” she called, hoping for a repeat of the cry. Updates: The not very Updatey edition.

Hello lovely readers.

This update is not very interesting. I don’t have a huge word count change or massive story changes. Everything is little bitty details that I’m picking at. Currently, (like literally right now,) I’m listening to Word read Out of Light so I can catch missing words and weird sentences.

If you’re interested in my life not in writing/editing, then it’s mostly been a lot of working and sleeping. I like my job though it does leave me really tired at the end of the day. I’m playing around with D&D on the weekends.

Also reading The Magicians.

Anyway, good night! ❤

It’s a brand new year?!

Hello lovely readers,

It’s January, can you believe it?! That means it’s almost the one year anniversary of Out of Darkness becoming available. (A month, give or take.)

My original goal was to have Out of Light published the same day. That didn’t work out quite like I wanted. I did get a job though! Which means that it’ll be a whole heck of a lot easier to take care of the monetary side of all of this. (Cover, editing, whatnot.)

I started another read through of Out of Light to tweak some things I wrote elsewhere. Seemed like a good plan.

I know I was going somewhere with this, but I got a phone call and lost my train of thought. Anyway, happy new year!
