This is an about me post.

This post is not about War of the Sisters or writing. It’s about me. I’m just in the mood to ramble, and sometimes I think that’s good enough to post.

So, what do I want to ramble about? Me of course. My name is AmberJade, yes it’s actually spelled that way. No space and a capital J. Hmm, this feels familiar, I wonder if I’ve already written it already. Ah well, you’ll just get to know me twice.

I’m 30 years old, and I live with my fiance and his family in Alabama. (He told me yesterday that he reads my blog. So hello fiance. ❤ I told you I don’t complain about you on here. This is your first mention.) Okay, back to my real readers. (sorry fiance, you don’t count. <3) I have a cat named Zelda, here she is today helping me edit. As you can see she’s a paws on editor. (I made that joke on Twitter and here because I was pretty pleased with it.)

Obviously, I write a lot, but we’re not going over that in this entry. Outside of writing, I like to play vidya games. This week I was kind of neglecting them for Camp NaNo prep, but I was playing Fallout 4 most recently. (I like it, others don’t.) I like roleplaying/fantasy games mostly.

I have a big family. I don’t think they read my blog, but hi to them anyway. Not gonna get too descriptive, don’t wanna make them feel awkward. (Hi, love y’all. <3)

I work online on mturk.com, and while it pays the bills, I 1/10 do not recommend. (but I do love all my people at mturkcrowd.com they are cool beans. hi crowd.)

Okay, I’m tired and have rambled long enough. Thanks for reading.

I Got Bored, and then I Rambled.

So, a couple days ago I was bored and unsupervised and bought the little WordPress plan that lets me customize my domain name. Now I’m amberjademccracken.com instead of warofthesisters.wordpress.com I thought that was pretty nifty because I’m easily amused.  It seems to automatically redirect so I don’t think anyone has to do anything. I also put a new theme on, which promptly deleted all my widgets. They are back now, but that was super fun.

It’s only been a couple days since my last update, so I don’t have anything too interesting to say. I’m on chapter 31/49 on my readthrough of my paper copy. I’m moving things around, cutting a little. Killing my darlings so to speak. You know, the fun stuff.

I realized today there are quite a few steps AFTER editing that I’m going to have to deal with soon. Like summarizing, finding a cover, having someone do another read through to point out anything I’ve missed on my other read-throughs. More fun stuff.

This has all been a lot more work than I expected but it’s also been more fun than I expected too.

Anyway, thanks for reading, y’all have a good night!

Mid-March MUpdate.

I wanted all the words to start with M. No reason, it just amused me. Also is it just me or did the post layout switch sides? I swear everything used to be on my left o.O?

Anyway, how is War of the Sisters 1 doing, you ask? Not bad. I’m halfway (more or less) through reading through the hard copy and marking it up as I go along. A lot more red than I expected but I think I’m polishing it up real nice for everyone.

Everywhere I’ve written it down I’ve titled it ‘Out of Darkness’ so I’m thinking that’s the title I picked. I like it. (Two will be called ‘Out of Light’ unless I find something I like better.)

Camp NaNoWriMo is next month. My tentative goal is to finish the read-through of my hard copy by the end of March and begin typing/editing the electronic copy for Camp. As long as I stick with my chapter/two chapters per day read through I should be able to do that.

That is my whole update, but below the ‘read more’ line is the most recent version of my prologue if anyone wants to take a read. 🙂
